How long does it stay cold?
That depends on where you are — a shaded bag and a sunlit dashboard are completely different jobs, and any single figure quoted at you was measured somewhere you probably aren't. That's exactly why there's a display: freeze both packs solid, load it, and read what it's actually doing.
Does it need charging?
No. The cooling is entirely passive — frozen gel packs and insulation. Only the display uses power, from a replaceable button cell that's already fitted.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes, as carry-on. Nothing in it requires power. Frozen gel packs are generally permitted in the cabin, but rules differ by country and airline — check yours before you fly. Carry it in the cabin rather than checked luggage; hold temperatures aren't controlled.
Is it TSA approved?
No — and neither is anything else in this category, whatever the listing says. There's no such approval for a case like this. What matters is that it contains nothing requiring power, which is what security actually asks about.
Will my pen fit?
It's sized for pens and vials plus swabs and a spare pack. If you want certainty before ordering, email us the make and we'll measure it against the case and tell you straight — including when the answer is no.
Can the gel packs freeze what's inside?
The interior is shaped so the packs sit around the contents rather than against them. Loaded as designed, this isn't an issue. Don't wedge anything directly against a frozen pack.
Does the display show °C or °F?
Celsius.
How accurate is the display?
It's an indicator, not a laboratory instrument — and we'd rather you tested that than took our word for it. Put a thermometer you trust in the case alongside it. If the display is obviously wrong, tell us and we'll replace the case.
What if the display doesn't work?
Email us with a photo and we'll replace the case. You won't need to send anything back.
How do I refreeze the gel packs?
Rinse, dry, and put them back in the freezer for at least 6 hours. Reusable indefinitely unless the seal is broken.

Will I pay import duty?
Possibly, depending on your country's thresholds. Any duty or tax charged on arrival is set by your own customs authority, not by us.
Can I use it for something other than medication?
Yes. Anything small that needs to stay cold and needs to be checked — it doesn't care what's inside.
